Thom Yorke

/ Radiohead

I was keeping watch at the hotel where the band was staying when I got lucky, walking around the block, I found Thom Yorke at the other entrance. He’d just stepped out with a couple of collaborators. I approached him, barely believing it. He smiled when I told him we made guitar pedals at our Argentine factory, Dedalo Fx. “Cool!” he said. I pulled out two pedals, an ALU9 and a Pixel, the pedals we thought he might like. “Oh, Guitar Synth! I want this!” he said. I explained the controls right there on the sidewalk, then walked away, just hoping he’d use them someday.
In 2019, Thom released Anima, and we were blown away to hear the ALU9’s unique timbre in the final moments of “I’m a Very Rude Person.” One of the world’s greatest musicians—one of our heroes—was using our pedal. Santiago (Fan and founder of Dedalo!)
