EQ-F
/ FER NALE BASS EQ
An equalizer designed to bring out the full potential of all his bass guitars. This is what acclaimed bass-player Fernando Nale conveyed to us: his deep knowledge of low, mid, and high frequencies, and which ones enhance the complex characteristics of the electric bass; his obsession with bass tone in very different—and sometimes complex—situations, from studio work to packed stadiums where the sound cannot fail.
With the EQF, he -and now you- can shape the tone with versatility and efficiency without sacrificing audio quality, switching between sonic worlds simply by adjusting its parameters, while preserving the warm, precise touch that defines him.

Controls
LEVEL: Effect output level, with a +/- 15 dB range to compensate for volume changes caused by equalization
LO FREQ: Selects the center frequency of the low-mid band, between 110 Hz and 400 Hz. This control allows precise location of the area where the bass defines its body and presence, from lower mids with more weight to higher mids that add clarity and attack.
LO GAIN: Applies boost or cut to the frequency selected by LO FREQ, with a ±15 dB range. Ideal for reinforcing the instrument’s character or cleaning up resonances that interfere with the mix.
HI FREQ: Defines the center frequency of the high-mid band between 540 Hz and 2000 Hz. It allowsto work on areas that complement the first band, enabling fine adjustments or deeper tonal changes.
HI GAIN: Controls the boost or attenuation of the frequency selected by HI FREQ, also with a ±15 dB range. Together with the first band, it offers a precise tool for sculpting the bass tone according to the musical context.
PUNCH “P”: Activates a subtle and musical boost of lows and highs, at carefully selected frequencies to enhance definition, attack, and projection of the bass without altering its tonal identity.
MODE “M”: Live / Studio selector
Modifies the behavior of the Punch mode to adapt to the situation.
In Live mode, the boosted frequencies are 100 Hz and 3000 Hz, prioritizing presence and cut through the mix—ideal for concerts and complex soundstages. The LED lights up Red.
Studio offers a more balanced and extended response, with boosts at 40 Hz and 8000 Hz, designed for recording and detailed work. The LED lights up Green.
BYPASS: Activates and deactivates the effect. The True Bypass switch allows the signal to remain intact when the effect is disengaged.
Technology
EQ-F / Semi-Parametric Bass Equalizer The EQ-F was created together with Fer Nalé (of acclaimed bands of Cerati/Indio Solari) to offer bass players great control over their presence, clarity, and definition within the mix. It features two carefully calibrated semi-parametric mid bands, designed to work exactly where the instrument defines its personality: attack, body, growl, clarity, and presence. Each band allows selection of the center frequency and then applies boost or cut as needed. This makes it possible to clean up muddy mids on a challenging stage, or to highlight specific areas such as pick attack, fret “growl,” or slap articulation. With a ±15 dB range per band, the EQ-F enables deep transformations: boosting a range to stand out in the mix, cutting resonances that blur the sound, opening space for other instruments, or reinforcing frequencies that the amplifier cannot reproduce on its own. This wide and musical range gives the bass player total control to adapt to different setups: active or passive instruments, 4, 5, or 6 strings, low tunings, varied techniques, and styles that demand different dynamic responses. Punch adds a boost specially tailored for bass, reinforcing deepness and shine without sacrificing attack and definition. The Live/Studio mode selector allows choosing between a more present and focused character—ideal for cutting through dense mixes, large stages, or situations where the bass needs immediate clarity—or a smoother, more balanced and extended-range profile, designed for recording and situations where maximum fidelity is desired. Thanks to its internal voltage doubler, the EQ-F operates with increased headroom, a key factor for the dynamic peaks of electric bass. This results in less distortion when using techniques such as slap, aggressive pops, or forceful playing, and ensures a consistently clean sound with greater room for the instrument’s natural dynamics, even under extreme equalization. The choice of a high-quality operational amplifier ensures a silent, precise, and fully transparent signal path. This allows to shape frequencies while staying clean even in deep low-frequency ranges, preserving the punch and natural weight of the instrument without mudding the tone or introducing noise. The EQ-F respects the character of the bass guitar and enhances it in a controlled way: a professional tool for those who need consistency, tonal fidelity, and fine control over the instrument’s behavior.
